Our Mission
The New Haven Land Bank was established to address the growing issue of vacant and abandoned properties in our city. By acquiring, managing, and repurposing these properties, we aim to reduce blight, stimulate economic growth, and enhance the quality of life in all New Haven neighborhoods.

Partnerships: NHLB will work with local banks, investors, community developments, institutions, and the city to acquire and bring properties online for homeownership and rental opportunities.
Acquisitions: The NHLB will acquire city-owned, REO, and real estate-marketed properties throughout the city designed to transform neighborhood and commercial corridors.
Homeownership: The NHLB, working with the city and local partners, will strategically dispose of units of housing to first-time affordable buyers.
